Hello world!

Welcome to the blog  for the Hexagon Project. The idea of the Hexagon Project began with Beth Burkhauer, a local educator from Scranton, PA, who wanted a project as part of the Interdependence Day Celebration, to involve the entire community.  The idea of the hexagon came to mind  because it seemed to be a shape that is a prefect metaphor for interconnectedness and it can be tessellated meaning that it interconnects infinitely.  Educators were asked  to have students work inside of a uniform template. The idea of the hexagon would make student expressions a visible statement.
