Hexagon Project Teachers and Students:
Congratulations! Your student’s artwork has been selected for special recognition at the 2010 International Interdependence Hexagon Project! This year’s judges chose works that exemplify the most creative and relevant responses – both personal and universal – to the many themes of Global Interdependence. You should be most proud. We hope it may spark a lifelong interest in global concerns. Your artful hexagons, we believe, have a special place in bringing issues to light in meaningful ways that reflect and inspire action in the world.
We are anticipating a very festive opening on Friday, September 2 at The ArtWorks Gallery here in Scranton. The gallery will be full of over 400 works of art from around the US and around the globe! All are welcome to attend [if physically possible!] the opening reception from 6:00 – 9:00 PM or, if you wish to come on a week day, call Nicole Sawicki, Gallery Director, at the following: 570 207-1815 or email email@example.com NOTE: The exhibit will only be up until September 13th this year.
Attached is a list of recognized students along with their special recognition.
Soon I will send you the announcement e-vite which you may send or print out and give to administrators and/or school board members to advocate for the breadth and depth of your art program and honor your recipients. You will also receive – in the US Mail – an envelope containing the official postcard for the exhibit. NEW THIS YEAR!! There will be special recognition program at the ARTWORKS Gallery starting at 2:00 PM on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11 during which all recognized students and their teachers will receive certificates and the top three works in each of the six judging categories will receive awards. For those who cannot attend, these recognitions will be sent to their teachers through the mail.
Feel free to e-mail me [firstname.lastname@example.org] if you have any questions.
Again, thank you and congratulations!
